The Engineers without Borders (EWB-India) student chapter of Guru Nanak Institutions Technical Campus has always been active since its induction in 2011. The members were enthusiastically involved in various seminars, workshops and projects conducted by EWB, especially “Project Krushi”- primary and high school building with all equipment construction for the Krushi Home-An Orphanage. This project was funded by EWB-International, Pratt &Whitney, MTU-Aero Engines and InfoTech Enterprises. Now, the GNITC chapter has out-casted other chapters across India to win the Best Student Chapter Award at the recently held All India EWB Chapters meet at BITS-Goa Campus.

This meet has given everyone an opportunity to witness the inspiring work being done by every chapter towards the betterment of the nation, which otherwise would have gone unnoticed and unknown. It has also become a platform to understand various projects, take suggestions and exchange our ideas. Recognizing and appreciating the work done by various chapter members has boosted everyone, which made everyone to become even more responsible to hold onto the level of excellence and work for the best. The talks delivered by the keynote speakers have deepened the sense of our responsibility, towards improving our nation. The two day event was more of learning, a fact of expecting while being expected already and that engineering is an inter-disciplinary study. New ideas which cropped up in every presentation have left us in a sea hunting for fish to clean the ocean! Obviously, YES… it was a splendid experience altogether.
