Dr. Srinivas Tadibattula, Chairman, GATE -2013 from IISc Bangalore has delivered an expert talk on MOEMS (Micro Optical Electro Mechanical System) on 18th January 2013 from 11:15 AM to 1:00PM in indoor auditorium MBA block. About 100 Students from 3rd year ECE and 48 students of 3rd year ME have attended the expert talk. The main focus of the talk was on how Opto-Electro-Mechanical-systems are influencing the development of various fields of science and technology like Bio-Medical, Automobile Engineering and Defense. The talk was also emphasized on fabrication of MOEMS and sensors. There was a very good interaction session with students in the subject. Students have clarified their doubts related with the pattern of the GATE 2013. The session comes to an end by felicitating the guest.

To bridge the gap between industry and academics many value added courses are being conducted. These courses build the self confidence in the student to face the challenges. The incubation centre in GNI provides these types of facility to the students. Thirty six students from the department were selected for incubation centre. The selected students are been trained in to advance courses as per the requirement of industry. They are allowed to work in real time projects during this course and are being paid stipend during this period.

A two day workshop on “Analysis and design of Classical Control Systems (ADOCS-2K13)”:
