E-SUMMIT AT GURU NANAK INSTITUTIONS

Guru Nanak Institutions Ibrahimpatnam has conducted a 2 day entrepreneurship carnival on 23rd and 24th of August, 2016 in association with SUMVN aimed to foster the spirit of entrepreneurship. This event had cross sector panel discussions, pitch competitions, mentoring workshops and is considered as one of the premier events for budding entrepreneurs in Telangana. The inaugural function scheduled on 23rd august 10AM was presided by the chief guest Mr. Jayesh Ranjan ,IAS , IT secretary ,govt. of Telangana and guest of honors Mr. David Bergvinson , D.G. – ICRISAT , Mr. Jay Krishnan ,CEO at T-Hub ,Mr. Antony Whitbread ,Research Program(Executive) Director , Innovation Systems for the Drylands at ICRISAT , Mr. Ram Kiran Dhulipala, Strategy & operations officer , Director General’s Office at ICRISAT.

This Summit was a platform where students, project creators, start-ups, individuals could present their ideas to the panelists and industry stalwarts and judges validated the ideas for investments. Attendees were offered a cash prize of Rs.30,000 for the best idea pitched followed by cash prize of Rs.10,000 for the first two Runner-ups. Students were exposed to potential corporates ready to invest into the pitched ideas. Around thousand students had registered from all over the state of Telangana to attend this event and nearly 150 budding entrepreneurs had submitted their innovative ideas to pitch for investors. Around 20 corporate stalls had put up to interact one to one with potential customers and investors. Attendees were given kits and participation certificates as memoirs.
