After successful conduction of five major International Conferences by Dept of CSE/IT, Guru Nanak Institutions has conducted 6th International Conference on Innovations in Computer Science and Engineering (ICICSE-2018) on 17th & 18th August in collaboration with Computer Society of India, DRDO and Springer LNNS series publication.
The focus of ICICSE-2018 is to provide an opportunity for all the professional and aspiring researchers, scientists, academicians and Engineers to exchange their innovative ideas and new research findings in the field of Computer Science & Engineering and Information Technology.
Thanks to confidence of Springer reimposed year after year, we had proceedings of Springer of LNSS Series and Journal of Innovations in Computer Science & Engineering (JICSE) Volume 7 issue 2 & Volume 8 issue 1 for ICICSE-2018, Proceeding with ISBN indexed and Journal of Innovations in Information Technology (JIIT) VOL 2 ISSUE 1.
The journey to the conference rolls back from November 2017 when our committee members started to interact with various prestigious organizations, institutions such as Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), premier local colleges, Government organizations, NIT’S, ALUMNI to convey the message of conception of the ICICSE-2018.

The papers were reviewed through a series of three levels of review which has its review, reviewer confidence and suggestions from internal review committees followed by review of Senior Academicians, Industry professionals and Professors from premier Institutions and Universities and lastly by the paramount publisher who has given a Valid ISBN no to the proceeding for validation of the paper.
As part of the conference, a CURTAIN RAISER pre-conference tutorial was organized for the benefactor of the students, research scholars and faculties.

We have received an alluring response for the pre-conference tutorials with about 600 students, faculties, technocrats ATTENDING from not only GNI but also from various other Institutions of Twin States.
The conference had 2 technical sessions per day, one for Springer and one for special sessions for authors of journal, and proceedings and all of them were chaired and co chaired by eminent professors and doctorates .

Research papers from USA, UK, UAE, Singapore, Oman, Pakistan and many more countries were submitted which have been published in GNI’s JICSE (Journal of Innovations in Computer Science & Engineering) volume 7 issue 2; volume 8 issue 1; JIIT (Journal of Innovations in Information Technology) volume 2 issue 1. Participants were provided with kits, two days lunch, accommodation at our campus, transport facility for out station candidates.
On 18th August 2018 i.e., Day-2 of the Conference, Technical sessions started at 10:00AM with overwhelming response from participants from various states of India and globe. More than 65 participants have presented their papers in the Forenoon.
ICICSE-2018 was concluded by the Valedictory Function with distribution of best paper awards, presentation and participation certificates and vote of thanks to all the organizing committee members, participants and management by Dr. Rishi Sayal, Associate Director, Co-Chair ICICSE-2018, Guru Nanak Institutions Technical Campus.
