The Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Government of India, has established the ‘MHRD’s Innovation Cell (MIC)’ to systematically foster a culture of innovation among all Higher Education Institutions (HEIs). The primary mandate of MIC is to encourage, inspire, and nurture young students by supporting them in working with new ideas and transforming these ideas into prototypes during their formative years. MIC has promoted the creation of ‘Institution’s Innovation Councils (IICs)’ across selected HEIs to encourage innovation within these institutions through various initiatives, leading to the development of an innovation-promoting ecosystem on campuses. Our institute has been selected to establish an Institution Innovation Council (IIC) (2018) on our premises, in accordance with the norms and directions of the Innovation Cell, Ministry of HRD, Government of India.
