As per the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) guidelines every accredited institution should establish its own Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC). This is essential to maintain the post-accreditation quality of the institute. Quality enhancement being a continuous process, the IQAC becomes a part of the institution’s system and works towards realization of the goals of quality enhancement and sustenance.
The IQAC at Guru Nanak Institutions Technical Campus is successful not only in taking up several quality assurance activities but also in the creation of an institutional database in the campus.
The prime task of the IQAC is to develop a system for conscious, consistent and catalytic improvement in the overall performance of institution and to promote a learner centric ambiance for Outcome Based Education.
Guru Nanak Institutions Technical Campus was accredited by NAAC in 2011 for the first cycle, in 2017 for the second cycle and 2023 for the third cycle of accreditation with A+ grade. The IQAC of Guru Nanak Institutions Technical Campus continued to strive for the betterment of processes and setup.
To Promote quality Culture as the prime concern of our institution through institutionalizing and internalizing all the quality-enhancing and sustaining initiatives taken with internal and external support.
The primary aim of IQAC is :
To play the role of the catalyst and develop a mechanism to promote conscious and consistent action plans to improve the academic and administrative performance of the institution.
To promote institutional quality enhancement and sustenance through internalization of quality culture and institutionalization of the best practices.
IQAC shall evolve mechanisms and procedures for
Ensuring timely, efficient and progressive performance of academic, administrative and financial tasks;
Relevant and quality academic/ research programmes;
Equitable access to and affordability of academic programmes for various sections of society;
Optimization and integration of modern methods of teaching and learning;
The credibility of assessment and evaluation process;
Ensuring the adequacy, maintenance and proper allocation of support structure and services;
Sharing of research findings and networking with other institutions in India and abroad.
Some of the functions expected of the IQAC are:
Development and application of quality benchmarks
Parameters for various academic and administrative activities of the institution;
Facilitating the creation of a learner-centric environment conducive to quality education and faculty maturation to adopt the required knowledge and technology for participatory teaching and learning process;
Collection and analysis of feedback from all stakeholders on quality-related institutional processes;
Dissemination of information on various quality parameters to all stakeholders;
Organization of inter and intra institutional workshops, seminars on quality related themes and promotion of quality circles;
Documentation of the various programmes / activities leading to quality improvement;
Acting as a nodal agency of the Institution for coordinating quality-related activities, including adoption and dissemination of best practices;
Development and maintenance of institutional database through MIS for the purpose of maintaining /enhancing the institutional quality;
Periodical conduct of Academic and Administrative Audit and its follow-up
Preparation and submission of the Annual Quality Assurance Report (AQAR) as per guidelines and parameters of NAAC.
IQAC will facilitate / contribute to
Ensure clarity and focus in institutional functioning towards quality enhancement;
Ensure internalization of the quality culture;
Ensure enhancement and coordination among various activities of the institution and institutionalize all good practices;
Provide a sound basis for decision-making to improve institutional functioning;
Act as a dynamic system for quality changes in HEIs;
Build an organized methodology of documentation and internal communication.

A regular conduct of the above is with promising outcomes in teaching and learning practices for Faculty members and students for their successful professional career. |

Initiation to OBE As a prerequisite for quality control and growth, the IQAC introduced an outcome-based education framework for POs /PSOs and COs. The IQAC emphasized on teaching inputs and methodologies by coordinating the departments to have teaching plans with an objective to enhance the teaching learning process. The institution has introduced several new courses over the last five years as per the need of industry and employability at all levels. Different value added courses have also been offered by the departments for student skill enhancement. It has emphasized the student-centric learning and offers a clear understanding of the accomplishments at the end of the course. |

Lab Manuals & Handbooks The IQAC ensured the preparation of lab manuals by the different departments to ensure a formal methodology for students. The hand books with all the details of each courses are prepared and softcopies are distributed to all the students |

Teaching innovations ICT facilities have been implemented which assist in the preparation of e-content on ERP. The entire course material is uploaded into this interface to teach at scheduled lectures. The faculty has the option of updating the portion of lecture plan covered in that specific class with a choice to remain full or partial.
