IEEE TECH – IGNITION @ Guru Nanak Institutions

The IEEE TECH IGNITION event took place at Guru Nanak Institutions on 13th of June, drawing significant attention and enthusiastic participation. The theme of TECH IGNITION was Empowering Innovation and Excellence, reflecting IEEE's goal to advance technology for humanity. The event featured a diverse array of seven competitions, including Paper Presentation, Poster Presentation, Code-A-Thon, Hackathon, Idea-A-Thon, E-sports, and Embedded Innovation, attracting a remarkable total of nearly 700 participations.

The event also saw the inauguration of several IEEE societies, each aimed at promoting specialized fields within engineering and technology. The newly inaugurated societies included:

IEEE Computer Society, Advisor - Dr. Geeta Tripathi

IEEE Communication Society, Advisor - Dr. Md. Rashid Mahmood

IEEE Circuits and System Society, Advisor Dr. S.M.K.N. Abbas

The inauguration ceremony was graced by esteemed dignitaries: Dr. K. Venkata Rao, Director (GNITC), Dr. Sreenatha Reddy,Principal (GNIT), Dr. Rishi Sayal, IEEE Branch Counselor and Associate Director (GNITC), Dr. Harish Kundra, IEEE Coordinator and Dean ( Students & Faculty Affairs) GNITC , Dr. B. Santosh Kumar, IEEE Coordinator and HoD, CSE , GNIT.

The dignitaries shared their insights and encouraged participants to continue pushing the boundaries of innovation and technology. The inauguration was followed by the technical competitions held across the campus. Each event provided a platform for students to demonstrate their skills, collaborate and compete with peers.

The event was a testament to the vibrant technical community at Guru Nanak Institutions and highlighted the institution's commitment to a culture of excellence and innovation in engineering and technology. The management heartily congratulates the winners of the event.

Virtual Vista-1.0: A National Level Online Project Competition

The IEEE Computer Society of Guru Nanak Institutions Technical Campus (Autonomous) recently organized a successful National Level Online Project Competition, Virtual Vista-1.0. The event, held on May 25, 2024, in a virtual format, saw participation from over 400 students representing various states across India. Industry professionals served as judges, bringing valuable insights and expertise to the competition.

Today, on June 5, 2024, the Valedictory Function was held, where cash prizes and certificates were awarded to the winners. The top prize of Rs. 21,100 was awarded to the team from Anurag University, Telangana, comprising P. Karthik Rao, B. Venu Gopal, P. Sahithi Reddy, and V. Charitha Reddy. The second prize of Rs. 11,100 went to the team from Rajalakshmi Engineering College, Tamil Nadu, including Shaun Orlando M, Shivani S. R., and Sarathi. The third prize of Rs. 5,500 was given to the team from Acropolis Institute of Technology and Research, Madhya Pradesh, consisting of Sakshi Raut, Vihaan Vijayvargiya, Aditi Zingre, and Ira Joshi.

The Valedictory Function featured several distinguished guests:

Chief Guest: Dr. Krithika Sutrave, Assistant Professor at Grand Valley State University, USA, and Visiting Professor at the University of South Dakota
